Manufacturing and filling the bottles wastes 40% of the water used in the process. It also takes the average plastic bottle 450 years to decompose… that’s about 20 human generations!

In just the US alone, an average of 72,000 plastic bottles end up in landfills every minute, that’s 104 million per day.

It is estimated Americans throw away 38 billion plastic bottles annually and recycle only 30% of plastic bottle waste.

Last Bottle Clothing™ was created to help reduce the negative impact of plastic on the environment by recycling bottles into high-quality clothing.

Our shirts, depending on cut & size, are composed of 7-15 plastic bottles and require little water to produce.

100% Recycled, 100% Recyclable

Last Bottle Clothing™ makes apparel out of 100% recycled plastic bottles. Our clothing, from the collection of plastic bottles, all the way through the process of turning those bottles into clothing, is all done in the United States by American workers.

Last Bottle Clothing™ assembled our core group of suppliers and developers within the United States, and all within a small region in the Carolinas, to keep our carbon footprint low. One supplier collects plastic bottles and recycles them into a fine, pellet-like substance, while another supplier turns the pellets into a polyester type thread. A third supplier takes the thread and weaves it into reams of usable cloth. Our fourth supplier cuts the cloth into patterns and sews it into t-shirts.

The result is a pristine product that is ridiculously soft and durable. Every piece of apparel Last Bottle Clothing™ creates removes an average of 13 plastic 500ml bottles from America’s waste stream, which would otherwise end up in landfills, on the roadside, or floating down waterways heading into our lakes and oceans.

The Last Bottle™, PBC

Last Bottle Clothing™, PBC is the brainchild of longtime supply chain strategists, Stuart Wood and Justin Koehn.

After working in the corporate world for years, and seeing the destructive accumulation of waste, primarily in the form of plastics, the Last Bottle Clothing™ founders decided it was time to do something. They set out to lighten the ecological burden of plastics on our planet, while at the same time, creating a product that both environmentally conscious and average consumer will want to purchase and love to wear.

Last Bottle Clothing™ knows apparel manufacturing is the 2nd most polluting industry globally. It’s difficult to know if you are doing the right thing ecologically when buying your clothes. That’s why we take great care to ensure we only use recycled materials and the cleanest processes possible.

Our supply chain was developed by intimately understanding our supplier partners, and ensuring they are environmental and social leaders in the industry. We source all materials, manufacture all cloth, and assemble all clothing in the US, within a small radius in the Carolinas, resulting in one of the smallest carbon footprints in our industry.
